Organ Donation is the gift of an organ to a person with end stage organ disease and who needs a transplant. Organ Donation can be done during life and after death (Brain death or cardiac death). India has very long waiting list of people awaiting Organ Transplant for survival but very few number of Organ Donations.
It is our endeavor to increase awareness about Organ and Body Donation, so that we can encourage more people to opt for the same. In this context, IMA Dombivli regularly undertakes public awareness sessions on Organ and Body Donation for various sections of community through its’ Organ Donation Committee.
